About the Director

Rosemarie Madrid is an NYC-based dancer, choreographer, and educator with over 20 years of experience. A second-generation Ecuadorian-American from Queens, she trained professionally at LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts in ballet, modern, jazz, and tap. From 2023 to 2025, Rosemarie served as Children’s Dance Program Director for an Ecuadorian non-profit, building a sustainable curriculum that secured major funding like the Matisse Grant. In 2024, she founded the Madrid Dance Company to elevate female leadership and artistry, blending traditional and classical styles to foster cross-generational cultural representation.
